Born into the world of children's music, the Rosen Family Singers blend musical excellence with infectious fun.
The very first Teddy Bears' Picnics originated with the family, and they continue to bring joy to new friends throughout the country.
Lela, Penn, and Eliza Rosen perform the show their Dad, award winning children's music pioneer Gary Rosen, made famous.
Gary Rosen's children are no strangers to the stage.
They traveled and performed with him for years, entertaining crowds across the country from Cape Cod to California, including such notable venues as the White House and Fenway Park. When Gary was first diagnosed with ALS the family produced an award-winning album together - Pet Sounds - and they first performed songs from it together at Boston's 2005 First Night celebration.
"...Lela Rosen's angelic voice in "One Sweet Song" stands out: I'd like to sing you / One sweet song / One sweet song for you / While you close your drowsy eyes / I'll sing the sweetest song for you. We should all be so fortunate."

Their latest album - Gary Rosen Sings A. A. Milne - offers fun, upbeat songs that are sure to delight all ages. The album features Gary and his children singing about Winnie the Pooh together again. Those lucky enough to have seen the Rosen Family Singers perform live know that at some point during the show a special, secret bear wearing a red vest and a big smile strolls out from the wings, usually looking for some honey. The children at the show can't get enough hugs from this visitor.
Gary clearly passed his talent off to his children. Lela has sung and recorded with her father since she was five. She is now twenty-one and a senior at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she is a soloist with the colleges' Chorale, and a member of the elite Cantori. After studying abroad in Copenhagen last fall, Lela returned as a member of the Syracuse (New York) Vocal Ensemble. She is also a founding member of the local a cappella group, the Green River Trio.
Penn, nineteen, is a sophomore at Tufts University, where he is a member of the award-winning Beelzebubs a cappella group. With the Bubs he has toured from Maine to China and Japan this past year, and they are currently in the process of recording a new CD. Penn is a founding member of the high school a cappella group, Shoulder Narrows.
"All three children add love, affection and priceless family memories with their performances..."

Eliza has sung and recorded since she was four. She is in her junior year of high school in southern Vermont. Eliza is equally at home on a different stage - that of the New England Youth Theater, where she has performed and stage-managed several acclaimed productions. She brings her management skills to the Rosen Family Teddy Bears' Picnic, and makes a special surprise appearance during each show.
